Paul Cameron's Comments on Adolescence
In an undated letter circulated in Lincoln (NE) during a 1982 campaign for a gay rights ordinance, Paul Cameron criticized an article by David Newton that was published in 1978 in Adolescence, the same journal in which Cameron and Cameron published results from their survey in 1996.

Cameron characterized Adolescence as an obscure journal and asserted that it publishes material that would not be allowed in a refereed journal.

Cameron began his remarks about the Newton article as follows: "David Newton, writing in an obscure journal, makes a claim that would not be allowed in a refereed journal...."
